Our History

Established in 1859, Woodson has long served as a vital hub for the surrounding farming communities. Originally platted along the railroad line that connected the region to broader markets, our village has maintained the spirit of a close-knit community where residents know one another by name and look out for their neighbors.

Village Government

The Village of Woodson operates under a Board of Trustees form of government. Our elected officials are dedicated to maintaining the village’s infrastructure, managing fiscal resources responsibly, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our approximately 500 residents.
